- Who may make a protected disclosure and about what
- Confidentiality and protection from retaliation
- How to raise a concern, including anonymously
- How disclosures are investigated and reported
What can be reported
Dishonest, illegal, corrupt or unsafe conduct; child safety concerns; misuse of grant or program funds; and any conduct that puts a person at risk.
How to report
Disclosures may be made to the Whistleblower Officer at governance@landandlegacy.com, by phone, or in writing to our postal address. Anonymous disclosures are accepted and investigated.
Confidentiality
We do not disclose the identity of a discloser without consent, except where the law requires it or it is necessary to investigate safely.
Protection from detriment
Victimising, threatening or disadvantaging a discloser is a serious breach of this policy and may itself be unlawful.
Handling a disclosure
The Whistleblower Officer acknowledges the disclosure, assesses it, appoints an independent investigator where warranted, and reports the outcome to the Board.
How to make a disclosure
- In writing: complete the Whistleblower Disclosure Form — you may submit it anonymously.
- By email: info@landandlegacyacademy.com — read only by the Whistleblower Protection Officer.
- By phone: +61 480 090 125, asking to speak to the Protection Officer.
- By post: Marked “Private — Protection Officer”, 53 Cox Road, Mt Mee QLD 4521.
Nobody who makes a disclosure in good faith will be dismissed, demoted, excluded from the program or otherwise disadvantaged. Concerns about the immediate safety of a child should also be reported to police or child protection authorities without delay.
