Youth Track

For participants aged 12–17, the Youth Track is built around real-world competence, responsibility, and growth. This is where young people move beyond learning about things to actually doing them.

🎯 What They Gain

  • Real-World Competence: They don't just learn about animals and systems — they learn to handle them safely, complete real tasks, and maintain responsibility.
  • Understanding Responsibility: Farm environments teach that consistency matters. Animals need feeding. Systems need care. Time is real.
  • Confidence Through Capability: As they gain competence, confidence follows. They experience doing something new, getting better at it, and being trusted with more.
  • Exposure to Real Pathways: They discover farming, agriculture, production systems, and land-based careers firsthand.
  • Connection to Land and Animals: They develop respect for living systems and understand where food comes from.
  • Mentorship, Not Just Instruction: They are guided by experienced people, known and supported, growing through real relationships.

👥 Guardian Participation

Youth participants must attend with a parent, guardian, or responsible adult. This is not drop-off childcare — it's a shared learning experience.

  • ✓ Guardians attend all farm-based sessions alongside the young person
  • ✓ Guardians learn alongside their youth, modeling responsibility and engagement
  • ✓ Together you support consistency, safety, and genuine growth
  • ✓ The experience is relational and formative — building connection and capability
